WOYWW #251

Hello there!
I am here waiting for the glue to dry .... no change there then!?!
Here's my desk .....

Like I say - waiting for glue to dry .... and inspiration!
I have two sets of ATCs almost finished, waiting on the left are various hat & shoe embellis ready for another swap, on the right are the instructions for a card, meanwhile the glue dries ... very slowly ....
Why do I show all this? No, not to brag but to share the chaos, organised of course.
See the tab at top of page for WOYWW info and do come join in the fun.
Thank you to all my visitors last week and great comments, have another good WOYWWeek.

WOYWW #250

Welcome to my desk, enjoy the view, see the crafts .... and all for free!!
I have many projects laid out again as I am finding there is too much to do and too little time so ..... I am trying to do a little whenever.
I am feeling very positive about this new attitude .... every little helps ....
Four ATCs waiting to be decorated with an assortment of 'Children's' embellishments.  Three St George's day cards waiting for an insert.  Two train postcards to go into the office to be enclosed with swaps. One decoupaged angel waiting for an ATC back.  Surrounding it all .... one amazing card sent for my monthly swap, pots of Gesso lookalikes, box of finished cards and all the usual paraf paraphil paraphinalia paraphernalia!.
Enjoy the day and all thanks can be sent to Julia via the WOYWW tab at the top of the page ....

WOYWW #249

Another week and I am still playing working creating messing about with ATCs although, in my defence, I have started some April cards.  So here is my desk:-

I have been trying out my two new stamps .... my little 'St George' and 'Relax'.  Slightly abused in that the shield has been altered to the English flag and the shoe for the cat (with a red rose) to relax in is also English colours.  I am pleased how the inking has printed - brown for the cat and silver for the knight.

I am still finishing my flower cards.  I have adhered the Faux Silk into jigsaw cards and then placed some rub-ons across the front.  I have almost completed a domino card - can't decide whether to decorate the outside.  More details for these cards will be posted on my other blog.

I had to find a box to save my completed ATCs until I can post them off for their appropriate swaps.
Spring, Ladybird and 60s are almost finished.

Why am I showing you all this?  It's my favourite day of the week when I join up with other crafters around the world to share all our creations and makes and stories and travels  and ....... generally have a chatty time.  If you want to join in you will have to stop by the Stamping Ground (thank you Julia) and link up with us all.  Julia wont mind, she just watches over us and co-ordinates our meetups.
Have a good week.

WOYWW #248

Hello my friends and visitors
You have caught me mid work let alone mid week!!
I am in the middle of a mass ATC make ......

I have Spring on my mind and have used four stamps and two techniques - Heat Embossed and Faux Silk.
I spent a pleasant day painting them with my watercolours, not always as successful as I would like them to be, but I am pleased on the whole.  I have left them to dry and will decorate them later.
I also have some ladybirds ready to colour etc for another swap.
In the line up are my England flags and a stamp of a knight, they will be used for my card and ATC swaps in April.  I always look forward to England's national day - decorate the house, wear red and white!!!
It's the usual story - I've shown you mine, now show me yours .... I'll go and look anyhow ...

Thank you Julia for hosting my Wednesday pick me up ...  check out the tab at the top of the page for more information.

March Swaps for CWS

This month's swaps are going out early this month ... I really have to get on with the decorating!!  I have done nothing for a few weeks as both PJ and I have not been feeling the best.
Here we go then ....
1 to 1 swap

I used a pink sheet from my free paper pack cutting it to size.  I used one of the free stamps, stamping in medium and dark pink ink, in the centre of a white doyley.  I stamped the sentiment onto the paper but it was so blurred it was unreadable!  Then I remembered this post this morning and tried it out.  I then printed the sentiment on a small piece of the leftover paper die cut with a tiny die and ..... it was brilliant!   I attached the sentiment over the mis-stamped one.
I am so pleased with my Grand Calibur and Spellbinder dies - I just lift the Calibur onto my desk, sort out my dies and turn the handle and then put everything away again - love it, love it.

I used a Melonheadz image for this card, coloured with pencils.  I attached a strip of striped paper across the centre of the card and placed the image, with corners rounded, centrally on the card.  I printed the sentiment, cut it out, matted it onto striped paper.

I received this gorgeous card!!   The base is diecut with a band of gold card down the centre, a pretty picture of cheerful daffodils, a vellum butterfly and finished with gold confetti toppers.
Thank you Ann for this wonderful card.

CMW

The challenge for this month is to use an orange card, silver and one other colour embellishments.  I sorted out my deco paper file with the elements and decided to decoupage one of the pictures on a silver background.  I cut the card to fit the silver shell pattern, decoupaged the picture and then added the sentiment underneath.  I did use a different silver paper at first but then realised it didn't match the background on the sentiment!!!
I am really pleased with the way this has turned out.

I received this beautiful card with a vellum overlay, trimmed with silver butterflies and flowers and a silver border at top and bottom.
Thank you Ann.

Peel Offs

I had these few jelly peeloffs left on a sheet of paper so I thought this would be a good swap to use them for.  After I placed the handbags, makeup and perfume on the card, I felt they needed something else  but what ....

... In my peeloffs box I found some silver Japanese symbols which would be just right.  I coloured them with pink/maroon CD Markers and left them to dry.
When the peeloffs had dried I attached them to the card using the negative as a guide.
