WOYWW #225

First and Foremost, I would like to say thank you to my Followers and also apologise for not acknowledging you before.  You know how it is when you can't see something because it is in front of your face?  that's me to a T.......... never looked so never saw but thank you so much for having a read.

I  have left my desk miles away.
I have flown the coop.
I am spending some time by the sea.
Anyway you like to think - my desk is clear and clean!!!
BUT
On Saturday it looked like this...........

I have been cutting out flowers from wallpaper and getting cards ready to post - lots of them......

Now I am taking a few days off ............ down in Brixham.......... exploring we shall go!

Check out the WOYWW tab at the top of the page to find out why I am telling you about my desk.  There you will find all the info you need, especially if you're mad enough to join in.
Thank you honourable Hostess Julie for hosting..................have a wonderful WOYWW week.

WOYWW #224

Eagle eyed people may notice that there hasn't been much activity round here this week ...........
Room was tidied once the Velcro was found, books and doilies placed ready for use on desk top but since then    .................

The cold has hit in - aches and pains also arrive - We went to town and bought the lace for the cushions, and bought the fire, and bought a TV Unit, and we moved some slabs, and laid some turf in their place, and then it rained and then we were so k*******d we spent most of the next day in bed!!!  Sleeping!!

I did make a start on my cushions, all three sides stitched ready for the lace when I discovered the machine had decided to stop sewing, not completely just here and there.  A whole day was spent sorting this out, new needles, new bobbins, new cotton ................ new machine needed!!!

And....... our new ISP has been very hit and miss, so I didn't bother switching on!!

Altogether an eventful week!   ............ and how was your week?  .....more importantly .....how's your work desk?

Have a happy WOYWW week ...........

WOYWW #223

I was looking for some velcro ........ it's in  here somewhere............

As if you didn't know ......... I have turned this room upside down looking for it .........

It's white and in two rolls...........

Aaha!

FOUND IT!

Now you are asking yourself why I am looking for velcro and why am I showing you my room?
It is Wednesday...............  all details are on the Page above ......... this is all courtesy of our venerable (!!?) host Julia. (The Great WOYWW Leader)
If you look carefully you might see my desk under the embossing powders and blue basket ....... now I ask you...... how can anyone work in that space!!!

But remember this?
It will reappear on Friday .........

believe me it will!

Oh! the velcro!?!?!?

Did you notice the embroidery to the right of the sewing machine in my second picture?
I am making cushions for my niece and granddaughter..........
the stitching has been finished for a few years and I am determined to finish them  .........

This is the one I made for my eldest granddaughter twenty years ago .........

September Swaps for CWS

Continuing on from my earlier post I have decided to send my 'doily' card as one of my swaps this month.
This very pretty card popped through my letterbox just as I was leaving for my Autumn break.  I didn't have chance to look at it until I came home and I love the pink flowers on the grey background.
Thank you Jane

I used a Scrapito card and backed it onto a pale orange plain card centred on a cream card.  I did not feel it needed a sentiment as there was so much colour already on it.

This very delicate card, created  with so much thought came through the post while I was away.  Pink again and so delicate looking with its parchment flower.
Thank you Robin

I puzzled abut this month's Colour My World Swap for some time -  Pink Card with Red Embellishments and one other colour.
I had found all my Spirelli equipment when tidying up the other week so decided to make some more discs, and chose white ones with red threads.
I attached a doyley and then centred the larger spirelli in the middle.  The smaller one fitted onto the top using a 3D sticker which I decorated with a red multicoloured dragonfly.  I used little flowers along the bottom of the card and then coloured a sentiment in matching red.

I received this pretty pink card in return.
Thank you Jacklyn

WOYWW #222

I am busy making card kits.  I found them while 'tidying up' so I thought that I had better use them, they must be well past their 'sell by' date.  I think my desk looks like a 'proper' crafter's desk.

The kit comes with the instructions on an A4 page so it is easily copied, all the papers and embellishments needed.

Ready to start the deign...............

The papers are cut and folded, glued into position round the circle.  The outer rind is ready to glue in place.

I don't need the sentiment that is provided so I will only use the corner peel offs.

There was enough papers left over to almost make another card, so I attached a doiley and then tried to make a pattern.  Almost good!  Notice holograph peel off corners!!!

Off to visit other desks now, managed to make 26 desk visits last  week, beating my previous 22!
It's all that Julia's fault, doncha  just love her ?!?!?!?!
