WOYWW #330

This is WOYWWednesday - checkout the tab at the top of the page for further info - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting again.

You will be pleased to know that I am back home safely and I am still clearing and sorting.  The Craft Room is now 'finished' - well you know how it is, today tidy and then messy tomorrow....

BUT
the good news is that I have found all my knitting needles, and also my teddy bear wools all packed away safely (somewhere safe!!) in a blue crate right at the bottom of a pile ...... wouldn't you know.

So I have two completed teddies, one bag with a work in progress and then my current fabric bag with two more teddies to be made up!

Just in case you wondered about my needles - the larger bag is the one I was looking for, the smaller one contains my replacement needles ...... thanks to Age UK Solihull!!!

One happy bunny is now living here!!!!

What does the Good Book say?  Seek and you shall find ......

Sorry I only visited a few of you last week, such a late entry is short on time ...... but it is good to be home!!!

Have fun!

WOYWW #329

Joining late and here's why ......

This has been the view from my window for the past week and unfortunately modern technology didn't reach as far as our chalet!!!!
We managed to travel out and about each day and I spent evenings here .......
Note the laptop .... I did try to get online .... but then resorted to making cards - put in a plastic bag which I remembered to pack!!!

I am now off to visit a few deskers and catch up with all the gossip!

Thank you Julia for hosting another great Wednesday meet up ..... sorry I haven't made it until today (Friday).... nah! I'm not really!!

WOYWW #328

This is WOYWWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

I have managed to sort the boxes and find my desk - naw! not really!  just cleared as much as I could to the sides as I had to meet a deadline with my ATCs!
After my C.R.U.N.C.H. meeting yesterday, I had some time to wait so popped into the Works - the Sales Assistant was very kindly changing the craft area around which made it rather difficult to buy anything crafty - and purchased a new watercolour paper pad.  I like the thickness of this paper for my ATCs and, a bonus, I can cut 18 cards per page without any, or tiny amount of, waste.

Those eagle eyed of you may spot a few papers just beyond the pad, soon to be used in another ATC swap - Themed Spice and .... and ..... look to the left there ...... a rexel pocket packed ready to go to the seaside .......
Don't for a minute think I am organised .... that is all that is packed!!!!
I might have time in the evenings - dependant on weather as this is Britain - to make a few cards so I have sorted some kits ready to use..... check back later to see if the bag made it into the suit case!!!

Thanks to all my visitors last week, have a good crafty week.

CardWorkShop June Swap

1 to 1
I used some of the cutouts from Craftwork Cards to make an easel card for this swap.  I used a kraft card for the easel and a border strip for the stopper adding a patterned paper insert along the base.
The cutout comes in three parts, a patterned outer which I attached to the easel, a plain inner and a circle centre which I popped up on DS tape.  I sorted through my candi and added three pieces on each side.

I received this card by return.
Thank you Helen.

CMW - Blue card with Grey

I took a blue card, folded it and cut to size.  I cut some grey patterned paper and cut it slightly smaller than the card, then adhered it to the blue card leaving a margin all round.  A piece of sticky ribbon from my stash was placed down the left hand side of the card.
I now matted a small piece of blue card with the grey paper and added a peel off sentiment in silver.

I received this gorgeous card by return.
Thank you Helen.

Follow that Sketch

This sketch calls for a long strip across the centre with a shorter strip down the right side.
I went to my Potting Shed paper pad from Craftwork Cards for this card so I was able to pick out three papers, some candi and a sentiment.

I received this lovely card by return.
Thank you Elaine.
Make a Card with Fibres
I used a deckle edged card from my stash, along with a piece of golden fibres ribbon which came in one of my Personal Shopper packets from waaaay baaaack!  I added a French poster from an ephemera pack with a gold peel off.

I received this gorgeous card with fibres wrapped along the lower edge.
Thank you Elaine.

WOYWW #327

This is WOYWWednesday - checkout the tab at the top of the page for further info - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting again (even in absentia!!)

I am giving you a treat this week ...... a different desk!!!

My crafting desk has again been covered by boxes, papers etc.  Maybe not the same as last week but still covered!!
So I thought I would share with you my 'workdesk' .......
The inevitable hand cream, escorted by various rolls of sellotape wrapped round a bottle of water.  A few stray stamps - postage kind - an empty coffee cup full of pens, pencils and highlighters.  THE SCREEN!!!! I am keeping the London book (in Italian) for my Grandee1 (if I put it out of sight I shall forget it!!) and the other papers are a swap I am considering.....
To the right of the screen we have a container of used postage stamps - they used to be sent to charity but now I send out filled envelopes to fellow crafters - and above.... small boxes used to store paperwork for sending out my swap cards and ATCs.  The overworked printer is surrounded by various electrical items such as the fans - a necessity back in the'summer' - and look ..... a carton of fruit juice.
It really is a workplace and where I do the majority of my computer work .... even writing up this Blog!
Thank you to all my visitors last week and all the wonderful comments.
I still haven't done anything with the colouring book, it belonged to DH who passed it onto me.  I think I may take it away on holiday with me so that I can colour if it rains.
Have a good week.

WOYWW #326

This is WOYWWednesday - checkout the tab at the top of the page for further info - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting again.

This may look like the same photo as last week but I assure you it isn't!!  I am still clearing down the house, am now on the 'wall' layer in my craft room and have found the piano in the back lounge!  yeah!!  ***pumps air!!***  At this rate we may have all the rooms cleared of junk - well, most of it - before the men come to fit the Central Heating.

My desk ...........

I 'found' these unopened packs of A4 paper in one of the boxes, loads of magazines - they have been stripped down and the kept pages filed and the rest bonfired - loads of 'useful' Christmas pieces which I must have boxed up out of the way ..... it's like having new stash but all for free!!

I am in a very hopeful, positive frame of mind which allows me to think of those who need a few prayers so today I am taking time to be a Prayer Warrior  .....  in between visiting desks of course!!

See you all next week but in the meantime, Happy Crafting!
