Craft Room

Back Bedroom
Not much crafting going on here!!!

After many years of discussion, the decision was made and actioned..........

I have been very brave, I do not recognise my own house and it HAS meant several meals out so I mustn't complain.

Front Lounge

Most of the piping and rubbish will disappear today as my DH clears and bags and takes to the tip and scrap metal merchants.  I am out visiting family so hopefully my garden will be back to normal when I return home.
Please note: garden takes preference as I really need that open space.

But then  .............
I now have these in every room - varying sizes - and they all work.

I woke up this morning to a very pleasantly warm house .... ok, it was quite hot!!
We will conquer the thermostat!!!
The rest of the week will be spent cleaning and tidying, and chucking of course.  We now need a plasterer and decorator ....... hhmmmff!  knew it would be a can of worms!!!
But just imagine when we are straight - I will be able to craft in my room ALL day long in the WARM!!
I shall need to make a lot of visits this week as it will be the only escape I shall have from this house ...... see you soon..........

  1. Oh, it will be so worth it all. I cannot imagine crafting when it is cold in the room.
Hope you soon get back to some form of normality (notice I did not say 'back to normal') and warmth - yeah!
    Hugs, Neet xx 5

  2. I'm very excited about seeing your radiator. Now I'm sure there is stuff going to the tip that could be useful ;) It looks very precarious getting to your craft room but as you know it will all be worth it.

  3. It is a humongous upheaval, I know, but really, just knowing that if you're first home you won't have to light a fire is bliss. I say CONGRATS! Here's to warm and cosy winter crafting!

  4. Glad you have a warm craft room to look forward to. Enjoy.

  5. I remember when we had ours done. A tremendous upheaval, but so worth it in the end. Enjoy your new found warmth at the flick of a switch/turn of a knob.

  6. aww worth it in the end though- we had ours done last year and our home is SO warm. ( Not decorated yet though- REALLY need to !) Have a good week. soojay 8

  7. well worth the upheaval to have a warm home! Hope it's finished soon and you're all back to normal Helen#1

  8. It's got to be worth it but how did the old song go "It all makes work for the working man to do" in other words you get one of them in to do a job and by the time they have finished there is devastation behind them requiring more work men to
put it right! Happy crafty woyww, Angela X 19

  9. Oh gosh yes, I've been messing around with that can of worms all summer . . . but the results are worth it, so hang with it!

    A happy woyww to you!

    with a diy desk redo,
    but not the workdesk!

  10. I so sympathize with you. But yes... continue to look at the big picture and feel the warmth! Creative Blessings! Kelly #42
