WOYWW #233

So another chaotic week passed here at  - wherever I am!
I think that Wednesday is the only stable point in my life at the moment ......... Wednesday ....
Here's my desk .... taken on Tuesday afternoon (it was dark!)

Just messing about on it really .... that's masking tape ....  I read somewhere that you could do something with it and I thought 'what a brilliant idea', went out and bought some masking tape.
Needless to say I can't remember where it was or even WHAT it was ... so I have three strips of tape, some ink daubers and some stencils ... sort of washi tape do you think?!!
This is all I have been doing in the craftroom since Friday but .....  In the lounge I have been stripping paper from walls, washing skirting boards ready for painting, fitting carpet and placing new suite - don't ask!!! All will be revealed on my 'recollections' blog in due course ...
Have a happy WOYWW  week!

Keep safe.

  2. You have found yourself a great use for the tape, you can also use it to create borders then pull back after inking etc to reveal a clean edge.

    Happy WOYWW & Happy Crafting

  6. Looks like you are having fun - even if you can't remember what the fun was for... Thanks for already visiting - yes, it is indeed great to have such a long space to fill - and, er, fill it I do. Hubby reckons I couldn't keep tidy if I owned a place as big as Buckingham Palace - I would still fill it!! The space is over 18feet long - so HUGE!!
    Have a great week.

  10. Yep, washi the home Mae way, how brilliant. Do the pigment daubers dry on the tape alright then? Cor, the possibilities are endless. And now then missus, what's an Art Deco hangar when it's on your desk then?

  11. Hi Christine...I just noticed on your side bar under Followers...my name and image... Jiminy Cricket... that there was a message waiting with a link to view messages. Perhaps that's the reason I didn't hear from you. When I clicked the link I had an option to accept your emails.
I pin things to Pinterest so I can find the links that interest me. Be well Carole #67

  12. Hi Christine! DIY Washi tape....addictive.....I use masking tape all over the place....always on my dies to hold them down when I run them through the big shot or wizard...for straight edges on my cards, never thought to make my own Washi tape....so....I might be joining you on that one!

  13. Hi Christine, lot of stash there. I think I saw something using masking tape on Pinterest, if I remember rightly, it was covering a strip with ink, then using it to 'print' a stripe with. The DIY washi tape is awesome, by the way. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #36xx

  14. I think I saw that same tutorial. I bought masking tape, but haven't put a drop of ink on it! If you find the tutorial - let me know. LOL

  15. I like your washi masking tape. I use masking tape for texture on my art boards. Wrinkle it up as you put it on or attach it flat then take your finger nail and pull back the edges here and there. You can paint or it or use alcohol inks or StazOn type inks. Thanks for the earlier visit! WOYWW hugs! Nan G #22
