WOYWW #299

This is a good day!
The sun is shining and I am playing!!

This was my desk yesterday - partly cleared to install a new multi-socket.  I have a row of four - can just about be seen on the window sill in front of the speaker - and PJ has sourced an upright multi-socket  .... so's I can use more equip I suppose ..... I only use one piece at a time but's the thought that counts!

So once I had cl#+*ed the area, PJ appeared, unthreaded and threaded wires, unplugged and plugged in ...... and I was back in action.

One of the guys at Training has to have a new hip fitted so this was an excuse to buy some train stuff - you can always find what you need on the web!!!
Now it goes without saying that one has to make up a certain amount to avoid p&p - it wouldn't be a  saving otherwise would it??!!  So I added a few more dies - a banner and a mandala and a silhouette.
With reference to Julia's post yesterday ....  I tried out all my dies but have not managed to use the stamps yet.  I like to see how the dies cut and, if needs be, add information to the packaging before I put them away.  The stamps are another story - in the box and ......  I do check on them at a later day ...... usually.  I think that this time the train stamps will be used a lot, I aim to send a card a day while Roger is recuperating - lots of cards to cheer him up!!

So l've shown you mine, now show me yours!  Connect up with Julia and share with the rest of us - visit one or two desks and see what we are up to ..... all good fun.
Thanks to Julia for hosting us all again ..... I'm off to visit as many as I can before we go out.....

  1. Oh, train stamps are an investment, aren't they? Not just for Roger but for all sorts of male cards in the years to come. Hope the new sockets help out....I have to keep unplugging things in order to plug something else in, lol!
And I didn't actually put in my blog that the pavilion was in Bexhill on Sea, not Eastbourne....about 15 miles east. We went there on the bus, it's a prettier town, slightly more gentrified with some really interesting architecture. I loved Brighton though, great vibe about the place :-)
    Hugs, LLJ 26 xx

  2. Hi Christine, I love those upright sockets- I have one under my computer desk, as there are so many things to plug in there, its unbelievable. I also have one under my workdesk, they are ace.The train stamp is a great idea, so useful. And yes, you might as well spend the money on craft stuff, as waste it on postage, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #18 xx

  3. Lucky to have a handy guy around to fix up wires and sockets and things! Give him a hug for that since you didn't have to hire that project out :) I have a set of train stamps and I find them very useful for guy stuff! Good investment indeed. Shel-PaperOcotilloStudio @51

  4. Have fun with your new items. Always fun to add some new things. Enjoy WOYWW

  5. Love your fun goodies - stamps are just the best, so it's always a good idea to have a great variety. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #48

  6. Tee hee, Christine. I'm with you - no point in paying the postage if just a couple more items will achieve it free!
    Take care. God bless.

  7. I can always be relied on to buy more to get free P&P, lol.. it's a good excuse anyhow. Helen 5

  8. it would be rude not to take advantage of the free postage offers lol
    Happy WOYWW

  9. Happy WOYWW. I also like to make sure that I buy enough to take advantage of free postage. My credit card is complaining now, so no more spending for a few months whilst I clear some of the balance. At least I have lots of new crafty stash due to arrive this week, and that will keep me busy for a while. Ali x #73

  10. its funny isnt it i will spend a fair few £s buying stuff to make A card....... but spend a little to buy a card......NO NO NO
    Wheres the fun in that?

  11. Hi Christine - what a lovely idea, to send a card each day. He will really appreciate that. You sound wonderfully organised - fancy a visit here LOL?? Have a great crafty week. Chris # 21

  12. I got a little behind doing other things but I've now been able to sit down and read what you have been up to.
Yes, that upright socket thing is very handy, so you have everything at hand. I have an extension lead under my desk and I always have to go don on my knees to plug something in....
Oh yes, a little bit of extra stash because of the postage. I use that excuse too you know. The dies are all great.
What a sweet idea to send a card a day. The train stamp can be used for so many things. Good choice.
    Have a good week,

I make my cards for sheer pleasure so thank you for taking the time to comment.
