WOYWW #317

This is WOYWWednesday - checkout the tab at the top of the page for further info - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting again.

I am working on recycling ATC Storage ..... from a cat food box!!!
The story goes like this ......
We happened upon some reduced packs of Whiskas in a supermarket and, cos our cat is spoilt, we bought a couple of packs.  When the packs were opened the food pockets were all stacked in two long boxes ..... shame to waste them.

Once in my Craft room, I found that they are perfect for storing ATCs!
So I have cut down two boxes, covered one with brown paper as a base and am now about to cover again with paper from my paper book - I have four of these books, marvellous A4 size, if you see them in Smith's then snap them up.

I have time now to sort and swap and 'do' so this is a call out for WOYWW #6 ATC swaps.  I have ten waiting for homes. I know that Helen, Jan, Bleubeard & Elizabeth, Fairy Thoughts and Julia are waiting so that leaves me four spares.  I have blogged all my received cards but it is still in draft - I will put a link on this blog when I finally post .......... if this heat keeps up then it will be later in the week!!!

Have a good WOYWWeek, stay cool for those in the northern hemisphere and stay warm for those in the south .............

  1. I would be interested in swapping an ATC with you I have 3 left just email me your address and I'll return the same. It's great to upcycle things and your boxes look the perfect size, besides they are sturdy. Have a fun week Happy WOYWW.

  2. What a great organization tip! I think the Whiskas pouches are the ones I get. One of our cats has to have one every evening or she throws a fit, goes over to the box and starts rubbing her head on it. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #46

  4. Well, that's just clever! A great bit of recycling. Don't know about your cats but our moggies are decidedly off their grub in this heat. They don't know what to do with themselves.....
I don't have a website for what I make as I'm not a business, just make stuff for friends and for charity. If someone wants to have a look, then they can email me and I can show what fabrics I've got.

  5. I love the recycling. Since I'm the Queen of Free, I always enjoy ANY recycling tips. Wish my "boys' ate wet food, but they are not fussy and will eat dry, which is much cheaper (Queen of Free talking again).

Christine, you do NOT have to send me an ATC. It costs a LOT to send the the US, so save your money and buy more cat food for your spoiled fur baby.

Thanks for visiting while I slept. Happy WOYWW from # 3.

  8. Your cat food boxes look like the perfect for your ATCs. I recently posted a card I made from a pretty tea box. Recycling is fun isn't it. I haven't made any for a long time but still get pleasure looking through the ones that I received. Have a lovely week. Barb xx #36
