WOYWW #344

This is WOYWWednesday - checkout the tab at the top of the page for further info - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting again for yet another year!!!

My usual desk is not in use this week.  I have a new work surface ..........

I have the week ahead planned out day by day so that by the end of the week my room will be finished and then we go suite hunting.
I am bringing the room into the neutral age - magnolia - but the house will not be going up for sale!!!  (British joke!)
I hope that PJ will move the TV, Router etc tomorrow morning so that I can strip the paper off the right side of the chimney breast.
As you can see, there once was a rather large fireplace on that wall but because of the history of the house - yes! we have lots of stories - a smaller fireplace was put in during the sixties so that is what we have now.
I started 'leaving my mark' back in the eighties in other properties but am quite reserved in this house ........ just one small heart .......

Thank you for all the good wishes left here last week and the funnies - I love them!!!
I can't come visiting until I have finished the wall and washed all the paintwork down ready for painting on Thursday ........ but come I will!!!

  3. Good luck with the decorating. I used to write on the walls back in the 80s when I used to enjoy paper hanging. Now I just enjoy sticking it on cards! Have a lovely week. Barbxx #28

  6. Good Luck with the decorating! Love how you made your mark! When I started art journaling I did it just for me - I still don't share all of my pages - I think once you start you will love it! Hugs, Chrisx

  7. Hi Christine, smiled at you 'leaving your mark'. It's something we do everywhere we've done any work in the house, so our initials and the date are in concrete/tile adhesive/pencilled on walls/ in marker pen on the underside of floorboards, you name it! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8xxx

  8. All the best with the decorating, Christine - I always enjoy it, but am not too good at finishing off the room. There is usually a little something not done - and that's the way it stays for ages. Our signature mark??!
    Take care. God bless.

  9. I had planned to visit sooner, but shortly after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone. Looks like you are even busier than I am at the moment. It's good to leave a bit of yourself when you leave a house. This heart makes your desk pale by comparison this week.

Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #1.

  12. Hope the decorating goes well. I like that you leave a little memory on the wall - what a wonderful idea and fun for whoever unearths it in the future.

    Have a good week
