WOYWW #350

This is WOYWWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

I had a clean up, clearing my desk and windowsill and cleaning them both down ...... and it was good!!!!

Now it's back to work, two swaps for March are in preparation - Children and Lemon & Lime - so I sorted out my ideas and now I am waiting for paint to dry.............

Of course this is only the day job ......

..... Watching TV causes me to do the evening job .......

I am busy knitting Little Soldier a warm jumper to throw on when he is out of the car and in the stroller.

I knitted this pattern way back in the 80's for my Godaughter's boys and now I am off again.

I am not a knitter ....... I won't tell you how many times the back has been unpicked!

I also found out that ins. and cms. do NOT mix!!

But onward and upward say I  .....I'm off to visit a few desks.

  1. I am intrigued where the bongo comes in - lemon and lime or children? So you too are knitting stripes - had to stop knitting last night left forefinger feeling painful so I'll have to rest it. Raining again after such a nice day yesterday xxx Jackie 24

    1. When the Bingo cards are painted over in the appropriate places I am hoping that just the numbers show through - note, hoping! lol

  2. Looks like you have been very busy and I do appreciate knitting even though it has been decades since I knitted anything more complicated than a baby shawl. Children or Lemon and Lime. I would definitely go with a G & T with a slice of lemon or lime and no children.

  3. If you are brave enough to make that you are a knitter :) you might not be a professional one, but you are one :) it's looking really good :) Clemencia 31

  4. Well done for knitting what you did. I enlarged the photo and spotted a cable too. Not the easiest of things. Well done. I smiled at the cm/inches. No, they are totally different! I have a tape measure that has both and sometimes I look at the wrong side... disaster!
Yes, we would love some rain thank you very much. Send it over. We are in a drought and haven't had a proper rainfall for months, (apart from a few 5 min drizzles).
    Thanks for visiting,
Happy WOYWW and have a good week,

  5. I love a good retro pattern. My little man has just acquired a new aran jumper courtesy of Twiglet and that came from a very old pattern. I'm intrigued to see what you'll do with the bingo paper. Thanks for sharing, Max #60

  6. The knitting looks like it's coming along great. Your idea of 'not a knitter' and mine must be completely different lol.

Will be interested to see what the cards look like when they are finished.

  8. Hi Christine, love the colour combo for the knitting. Sorry, but I did laugh at the ins and cms. I found this out to my cost recently too. Well, actually one was to my future DIL's cost. I think it must be three Christmases ago now, I bought her a lovely cross stitch of an angel.Only vaguely glanced at the measurements, and assumed it was in centimetres, as almost everyone works in that, (bar me!). Turns out it was almost 47" x31" not cm, - poor girl is still working on it! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #6 xxx

  9. hope you get there with the knitting - I haven't done any for years .. and more years! Thanks for dropping by already - I don't tend to look back; often - it was quite an idle thought that popped into my mind to start with, lol! Helen #1
